In brief...
Originally from Italy, I studied and lived in Ireland and the UK and now reside in Canada. I worked for several years as a research scientist and I led my own research laboratory. I also hold an MBA from John Molson School of Business. In my spare time, I write as a freelancer for high-reputation websites - such as the Huffington post, Autodesk, Synbiobeta and many more! During year 2016/2017 I acted as community editor for the PLOSSynbio blog. Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter! EDUCATION
PhD in Chemical Biology - University College Dublin, Ireland MBA (Master of Business Administration) - Concordia University, Montréal, QC, Canada MSc in Chemistry of Biological Molecules , Università degli Studi di Firenze, Italy Hons. Bachelor in Chemistry, Universitá degli Studi di Firenze, Italy Certificate in Creative Writing, Open College of the Arts, United Kingdom EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
Writer/Editor: I have more than ten years of experience in technical scientific writing (papers and grants) and extensive experience as a writer for several high reputation blogs, such as the Huffington Post. I am also a creative writer: my favorite style is the novel, but I also like to write poems and I am training in other styles. Scientist: After obtaining my PhD in chemical biology in Ireland, I worked as a research scientist both in industry and academia in the UK and Canada. I am an expert in biocatalysis and enzyme engineering. In the past, I led my own research group in Carleton University as an Assistant Professor. Unfortunately, because of family reasons, earlier in 2022 I had to quit my job. My situation has since resolved, and I am currently looking to re-establish my laboratory. AWARDS / GRANTS
